Landforms
North Korea's notable landforms include the Kaema Highlands and Hamyong Mountains in the northeast. The western part of North Korea is flatter and most of the population is located there, as well as along the coast due to the mountains and highland regions in the interior of the country. The Taedon River splits the country east to west along the center of the country. Also, on the border between China and North Korea is the beautiful Mount Baekdu, a volcano with a gorgeous caldera lake.
